Share the Spirit & Other December Events!

Hi everybody,

Thanks for coming to our meeting last Tuesday. This post is simply a reminder about events for the month of December. You can sign up by scrolling to the right of this web page and clicking the blue link that says "Event Sign-Up Sheet".

1. SHARE THE SPIRIT. From Monday Dec 2 thru Friday Dec 6, Key Club will host the Share the Spirit fundraiser via Big Brothers Big Sisters to raise money and buy gifts for underprivileged kids during holiday season. Each homeroom will have a collection envelope, and the homeroom in each house that raises the most money will receive a breakfast. Each homeroom teacher received a letter in their mailbox, so be sure that they share this info with your homeroom!

2. FOODBANK. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month (this month will be Wed Dec 11), volunteers are needed from 5 to 7pm to pack bags of child-friendly food for elementary school students.

3. SANTA'S HOUSE. We have a variety of volunteer dates and services to help set up and run the Santa's House Event at Burr Homestead. Volunteers are needed on December 10, 14 and 15 - check the sign-up sheet for specific times!

4. GIFT WRAPPING. Although dates and times are TBD, each year the Fairfield University Bookstore downtown needs volunteers to help wrap items that customers purchase at the store. Each shift in December will be 2 hours long. I volunteered for this event last year - go with a friend and it's a really easy way to get 2 service hours!
