Kids-in-the-Kitchen ~ 2011
Our cooking series, Kids-in-the-Kitchen ran this year from January 27th to March 17th. Guest chefs from area restaurants shared their talents and time and gave the kids a taste of what life is like in a professional kitchen. Students enjoyed: Perfectly Fluffy Mashed Potatoes with Chow! Bella Chef Connie Warden; Chili from local, organic beef with Chef Jamie West from Jeff's Seafood, Pizza with Dominic Strano from Mimmo's; Valentine Cookies with Baker Nancy Cadieux from Sweetie Pies, Salads and Dressing with Chef Angie Boardman, Fruit and Vegetable Sculpture with Chef Marcus Hamblett from One Federal Restaurant, and Italian Dinner Night with Jim Cameron, Rachel Huff and Nance Shaw. Many thanks go out to all our chefs, and to our students who made this year's series so much fun!

Italian Night Dinner was a great success. We couldn't believe 
how long the sheets of pasta stretched! We made sauce
 and meatballs and salad too,and shared it all with parents
 at the end of class.
